Specialist Sensory Integration Assessment

At Activate OT, we provide comprehensive sensory integration assessments to understand how sensory processing influences a young person’s daily life, emotional regulation, and participation.

Assessment Methods

We use a range of assessment methods, including the Evaluation of Ayres Sensory Integration (EASI) for an in-depth understanding of sensory processing challenges, as well as play-based assessments for children who may find structured testing difficult.

To bridge the gap between play- based observations and a detailed sensory profile, we also use Movement Assessment Battery for Children (Motor ABC-3) and the Beery-Buktenica Development Test of Visual Motor Integration (Beery VMI).

These assessments help us explore a child’s motor coordination, balance, and visual-motor integration skills, providing valuable insights into how sensory and motor challenges may be impacting their daily function.

Our Approach

We take a flexible, child-led approach, ensuring assessments are tailored to each individual’s strengths and needs. Working closely with parents, caregivers, and schools, we translate our findings into practical, personalised recommendations that support engagement in home, school, and community environments.

Our Goal

Our goal is to create inclusive, supportive spaces where neurodivergent children can develop confidence, independence, and thrive.
